PCF in Assortment Management

By May/June 2026, we plan to present the weighting formula that we intend to apply for PCF in our assortment ranking. This will provide greater clarity on how PCF will be reflected in the evaluation and help create predictability for future assortment management decisions.

The fundamental principles for score calculation and ranking will remain unchanged. The most important factor for an

During autumn 2026, we plan to make a simulation available showing the impact of PCF weighting on the ranking. Our direct suppliers can read more about this on the Suppler portal. The intention is for this simulation to be accessible within the same excel view in the Supplier Portal where suppliers already follow the weekly ranking updates, during the six-month evaluation period This will allow us to identify opportunities for improvement and address any potential challenges at an early stage.

Within the ranking, we will have access to both an article’s default proxy value and, where available, approved activity-based PCF values. In cases where a reported activity-based PCF value is higher than the article’s default proxy value, the score calculation will be based on the proxy value. If the approved activity-based PCF value is lower than the proxy value, the calculation will instead use the activity-based value. This principle will also be applied in the simulation that will be made available this autumn.

The objective is to provide stakeholders with a clearer understanding of how data quality is defined, measured, and managed.

The framework will include components that support validation, enhance transparency regarding the use of primary and secondary data, and display our structured approach to how data quality is evaluated and monitored over time.

In addition to data quality controls, a minimum threshold for reported activity data in relation to the default proxy value will be required for an article to replace the proxy value with an approved activity-based PCF value.

We plan for a full introduction of PCF weighting in the live ranking during 2027, but we are not committing to a specific date at this stage. Through the simulation that will be shared this autumn, we aim to take a step-by-step approach together with our suppliers, ensuring that important questions and potential challenges are addressed before determining at which assortment change the weighting will be implemented.
